Mike and Susan

We're regional Emmy Award-winning Mike Erskine-Kellie and Susan McLennan, creators, writers and producers of content that airs on broadcasters around the world, including PBS, Disney, BBC, CBC, and TVO. 

Our first children’s book, I Got You A Present! is published by Kids Can Press and was released on April 7 2020.

Mike has written and starred in shows for children all across Toronto and has performed sketch and stand-up comedy across Canada and the UK. He used to be an on-air humour commentator for CBC news until budget cuts saw him replaced by a tree (true story).

Susan started in children’s theatre. She was cast in the Anne of Green Gables film while still in school and went on to appear in highly acclaimed productions of Agnes of God, Children of a Lesser God, and for some reason, a variety of other shows that had God in the title. She also appeared in a lot of bad television shows and a couple of good ones.

When not writing books and TV shows, we help brands become purposeful and tell amazing stories that change the world.

We realized that our years immersed in children’s TV had given us unique insights we wanted to use to help little kids understand the big world around them through books.  

So, we wrote I Got You a Present! 

And then, you know how it is, one minute you’re writing a book and the next minute, you find yourself in the middle of a pandemic and writing an animated series of shorts to help kids cope.  

No? Just us? 

That’s sooooooo like us.

Anywho, here we are. Blissfully, happily married for more than two decades now, with a love story for the ages.

And on a mission to help kids become F.I.E.R.C.E.
